The AGM, hosted by the ACI-SC Student Chapter, was held in Penang Culture, a halal certified restaurant in Jurong’s JEM.
The Annual General Meeting had three objectives:
- Selecting the new EXCO positions for the new Academic Year (AY 24/25)
- Welcoming the new members who have newly joined, and getting to know each other,
- Discussing the goals and direction for the upcoming Academic Year
The ACI-SC Student Chapter members and ACI-SC Board of Directors gathered at the restaurant and settled down. Following that, Zeng Xinyu, the President of the ACI-SC Student Chapter, warmly welcomed everyone and introduced herself to the new members.
The proceedings started with the selection of the new EXCO members for the student chapter. The Incumbent President of the ACI-SC Student Chapter, which remained the same, was picked by the ACI-SC Board of Directors. The incoming EXCOs that were appointed in this AGM are:

Presentation of Certificates to Outgoing Exco
Following the announcements of the new EXCO positions, ACI-SC President Mr Lu Jinping gave a speech on the progress and success of the ACI-SC Student Chapter before proceeding to present the certificates of appreciation to the outgoing EXCO members to thank them for their services in the past Academic Year.
Dinner at Penang Culture @ JEM
Following the presentations of the certificates, the ACI-SC board members and student chapter members were treated with a sumptuous Peranakan meal such as Sesame chicken, Deep Fried Barramundi, Salted Egg Prawn, Satay Chicken, Penang Rojak, White Shiitake mushroom with rice. The delicious meal was enjoyed by all the members. The meal also served as a great opportunity for the members to get to know one another better as well as network with each other, giving rise to more opportunities.
Overall, the dinner was a huge success as it achieved its objectives and left the members satisfied. The number of members in the ACI-SC student chapter grew to almost 50 as well as an increase in the number of EXCO positions to match. The greater number of project directors also gives rise to more opportunities to host events in the future.
